Hayden began playing Piano when he was in Preschool. Music runs multi-generationally in his family; His dad is a Piano teacher, and even his grandfather was a piano teacher!
As a child, he was drawn towards a wide range of percussive instruments; Piano, Marimba, Timpani, Concert Snare Drum, and Drumset. He attended Houston's High School for The Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) as a Jazz Drummer, which included programs through the Dave Brubeck Institute and The Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz. From there, he earned a full Presidential Scholarship to Berklee College of Music, where he graduated with a degree in music business. During his educational experience, he was exposed to nearly a decade of intensive music study with using Piano as the primary learning tool.
"I believe Piano is the strongest foundation for a child's musical journey. Whether they want to stay with Piano and develop a refined skillset such as Pop, Jazz or Classical, or they wish to learn other instruments....Guitar, Drums, Woodwinds, or Brass.....I know from my own life in music that Piano is the absolute center of being able to develop their musical talents from a young age."
Today, Hayden continues his life in Music as an Organ/Synthesizer/Rhodes/Piano Composer + Jazz Drummer, and has developed a passion for teaching children the magic of Piano.
He specializes in Beginner and Intermediate skill levels, and has a deep network of specialty instructors for when his students reach the advanced stage. He Founded Rice Village Piano school in 2025 and hopes to see it grow musical talents in countless students.
